The objective is to ensure that DIG continues to serve as the leading voice for food, beverage, hospitality, culture, and community throughout Louisiana.

The opportunity was to create systems that support both the publication and the business behind it while expanding DIG's reach, influence, and impact within the hospitality industry.

THE APPROACH

BUSINESS OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT

Serve as a key operational partner supporting the day-to-day functions of the business.

Coordinate projects, timelines, deliverables, and communication across multiple initiatives simultaneously.

Ensure campaigns, content, events, and partnerships move from concept to execution efficiently.

CONTENT STRATEGY & EXECUTION

Develop and manage content calendars across multiple platforms.

Plan, write, edit, schedule, and publish content designed to engage audiences and support business objectives.

Create content that balances editorial storytelling, audience growth, advertiser value, and community engagement.

EDITORIAL DEVELOPMENT

Research, write, and publish articles covering:

Restaurants

Hospitality

Events

Community Initiatives

Business Features

Industry Trends

Local Culture

Develop story ideas that align with audience interests while supporting publication goals.

SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGEMENT

Manage social media strategy across platforms.

Create, schedule, and publish content consistently.

Monitor performance and optimize content based on engagement and audience behavior.

Maintain a consistent brand voice and visual identity.

CONTENT PRODUCTION

Coordinate content capture for restaurants, events, and community initiatives.

Manage photography, video production, interviews, and asset collection.

Develop content libraries that support ongoing editorial and marketing efforts.

RESTAURANT WEEK PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Lead planning and execution efforts for Restaurant Week initiatives.

Coordinate communication between participating restaurants, sponsors, partners, and stakeholders.

Manage timelines, deliverables, promotional assets, and campaign execution.

Support both operational logistics and public-facing marketing efforts.

PARTNERSHIP MANAGEMENT

Serve as a liaison between restaurants, sponsors, community organizations, advertisers, and stakeholders.

Maintain relationships while ensuring expectations, deadlines, and deliverables are met.

Identify opportunities for collaboration and expanded visibility.

MARKETING & PROMOTION

Develop campaigns that increase awareness, drive participation, and support advertiser objectives.

Coordinate promotional initiatives across digital, social, editorial, and event channels.

Ensure marketing efforts align with both audience interests and business goals.

EVENT SUPPORT & EXECUTION

Assist with planning, promotion, logistics, content capture, and post-event coverage.

Extend the value of events through strategic storytelling and digital amplification.

AUDIENCE GROWTH

Create content and campaigns designed to increase readership, engagement, and community participation.

Focus on sustainable audience development rather than short-term engagement spikes.
